America’s Irish roots run deep. Our heritage has shaped the nation’s story – and the strength, resilience and commitment to democracy of our forbearers has forged our nation from the very beginning. Our culture has sustained us, passed down from generation to generation – continuing to shine, in literature, poetry, music, dance and more.

At IrishAmerica250, we are eager to support the many local Irish communities planning to commemorate the 250 years of American history since the Declaration of Independence. We believe that our work will strengthen the links between the United States and Ireland – and add new energy and purpose to the future of Irish America.

IrishAmerica250 is a non-partisan, nationwide initiative dedicated to commemorating the enduring legacy of the Irish in America, as we celebrate the United States Semiquincentennial in 2026. The project is made possible through the generous donation of time, expertise, and resources by our directors, who are supporting the mission without compensation.
